Old Antique Chinese FINE Quality Large Washstand Bowl, Imperial Dragons c1800s. Stunning bowl, top quality hand painted design, depicting dragons and flaming pearl fruits, butterflys & floral design. Dating to c1800 - 1850. Beautifully hand painted, particularly the dragons which show exceptional attention to detail. The multi use of colours such as purple one of the to dragons is very unusual.

This bowl was designed to sit inside of a wooden washstand, hence the design of the foot rim & body. The nicest hand painted piece we have seen for a long time, with 6 highly detailed dragons to lip.

A quality item which can be forgiven for its damage. A real gem, for only a good Chinese porcelain collection. Please see photos for condition, chip out of lip with 13cm running hairline crack which has been staple repaired.
