Chinese Imperial Ming Dynasty Painting Honoring Tianqi Emperor Zhu Youjiao
This is an amazing 17th century Chinese Imperial Ming Dynasty painting. It was painted for the Tianqi Emperor Zhu Youjiao in honor of his bravery to quell the peasant uprising. This artwork is filled with many Chinese Imperial symbols. This painting beautifully displays two red crown cranes perched on a rock at the tip of the water and either a palace or temple overlooking the ocean included in the background.

This wonderful piece may also be considered to honor the two Ming dynasty brothers Tianqi Emperor Zhu Youjiao and Chongzhen Emperor Zhu Youjian who were both known for quelling peasant uprisings during their reigns. The painting was later passed down to a defacto Ming dynasty Imperial member of the Zhu family for his 80th birthday. It was explained that the material, paint, color and style are all consistent with the period of the artwork. This is a large painting that was done with colored ink on a silk/cloth which is affixed to a board. Please note that there is silk loss as shown in the photos.

The artist signature and chop seals appears on the painting. The painting has a beautiful bamboo wood frame which measures approximately 26 X 40 inches and the artwork measures approximately 25 X 39 inches. This is a excellent opportunity for an astute investor. The Ming Dynasty was the last Imperial dynasty of China. What a great opportunity for a major Chinese Museum, College, avid collector, or someone interested in collecting historical pieces to add to their collection.
