Chinese Imperial Lacquer Box Gold Gilt Five Claw Dragon/Phoenix Antique Wax Seal
It has a very old Relic Jianding wax seal!!! A Chinese Imperial red lacquered leather wooden box. It is beautifully decorated with a gold gilt five claw dragon, a phoenix and other designs throughout. This piece has been intricately hand painted with Chinese motifs that are commonly seen on imperial pieces. The bottom of the box is marked with the "Jianding" export custom wax seal of approval.
The box is in the shape of an antique leather opium pillow. What a magnificent piece to collect or put on display in your home or office as a conversation piece. This would make a great jewelry, trinket, or keepsake box.
