Chinese Aubusson Royal Blue Handwoven Sculpted Carpet 12'7" x 8'11". Aubusson style , handwoven, sculpted, royal blue coloured carpet. Dating from the late C20th. This high quality carpet with large floral medallion centre, royal coloured field, with broad floral borders. This rug has a very deep, densely knotted, soft pile, making the rug considerably heavy, with selvages and long fringes at both ends.
Wool pile and cotton foundations. Very heavy for its size. This a high quality carpet, in good condition and ready for use. This rug measures approximately 382 cm long including the fringes, and 272.5. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition.
This rug is in a good condition commensurate with its age. Couple of small minor marks, see pictures. Would benefit from a good hoover once installed. Little fading but generally even in colour.
Pile showing no obvious signs of wear. The end selvages and fringes are both good with very little wear. A good regular shape for handwoven rug.
