C19th Chinese Canton Enamel Dragon Bowl Imperial Yellow Porcelain Hand Painted
A Chinese porcelain bowl hand painted inside and out with an Imperial Yellow ground and Five Dragons chasing pearls. Each of the dragons has four claws. There are three dragons on the outside and two on the inside. The backs of the dragons and the inner pearls are painted with gold gilt detail. There are 4 decorative panels inside and four panels outside each painted in enamels with birds and flowers. Unsigned - there is some possible evidence or remains of red on the base. Probably late 19th Century Diameter: 20 cm (7.8 in) Height: 9 cm (3.5 in) Condition is good, no damage or cracks, it does however have some chips on the edge as shown. It is beautifully hand painted with cartouches of original art and skilled decoration, a lovely collectable piece of Chinese Qing dynasty.
