INVESTMENT LEVEL ANTIQUITIES, COLLECTIBLES, AND DECORATIVE ART. Antique Chinese Imperial'Celadon Nephrite Jade' Snuff Bottle, Qing Dynasty, 18th Century. Description: An exquisite 18th century hand-carved Imperial Celadon Jade Snuff Bottle, decorated with mask and ring handles; the coral stopper with a bronze collar etched in a double beaded rim, a linen cloth seal, and bronze spoon. A well hallowed oval-shaped bottle of flattened form, carved with a flat lip, a short cylindrical neck, flared to a bulbous body, flanked by a pair of Buddhistic lion mask, carved in high relief at both shoulders, tapering to a short footrim, slightly concaved at the bottom. XXX The stone is of an even greenish-white tone; Excellent condition, without chips, cracks, or repairs.

Chinese art form - designed as portable containers to hold the powdered tobacco, commonly known as Snuff. Hetian Nephrite Jade, western Xinjiang Province of China. Data Observation: Given the fact this item is antique, you should expect some minor surface degradation.

Remarks: The bottle is in excellent condition throughout, without chips, cracks or repairs, with only very minor surface blemishes and snuff stains. Visible to the naked eye we can confirm that the jade material is not missing at the base, but there are minute inclusions and minor irregularities at the foot's rim as shown in the last picture. Note: We acquired this bottle a little over ten years ago from a private Chinese collector, who liquidated part of his extensive collection. Dimensions: Height: 2.5 inches (6.35cm).
