A Qianlong Imperial Underglaze Blue and Iron-red Wine Cup, 1736-1795






Spectacular wine cup with flared, outward-curved sides painted with four roundels of stylized chrysanthemums and separated by lotus sprays in underglaze iron-red. The design of the present cup is based on Chenghua dynasty prototypes. Condition: Item is in excellent condition as shown in pictures except for a yellow stain on one side. It has the usual wear and scratches that are expected to occur over the years.
